Sophie began dancing at Heartbeat Studios in 2008. She was invited to join the Heartbeat Beat Squad, performing all over the Twin Cities, including Timberwolves’ games, U of MN Gophers’ games, ISD 196 athletic games and many corporate events. From there, she joined Heartbeat’s Academy Program and was awarded dancer of the year in 2015. Because of her love of dance, she attended the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and was directed by choreographers Darrius Strong and Erinn Liebhard, among others. In 2017, she was asked to join Vox Medusa and performed in multiple showings of ‘Medusa’. Sophie has been teaching modern and jazz to Heartbeat’s elementary-age students since 2020.
